Parametric curved shape surface schemes interpolating vertices and normals of a given triangular mesh with arbitrary topology are widely used in computer graphics for gaming and real-time rendering due to their ability to effectively represent any surface of arbitrary genus. In this context, continuous curved shape surface schemes using only the information related to the triangle corresponding to the patch under construction, emerged as attractive solutions responding to the requirements of resource-limited hardware environments. In this paper we provide a unifying comparison of the local parametric C0 curved shape schemes we are aware of, based on a reformulation of their original constructions in terms of polynomial Bézier triangles. With this reformulation we find a geometric interpretation of all the schemes that allows us to analyse their strengths and shortcomings from a geometrical point of view. Further, we compare the four schemes with respect to their computational costs, their reproduction capabilities of analytic surfaces and their response to different surface interrogation methods on arbitrary triangle meshes with a low triangle count that actually occur in their real-world use. 相似文献

In this work, we introduce a new interpolation algorithm, based on a recursive method for computing Lagrange interpolants. This algorithm allows to construct recursively the minimal interpolation space (see [1]) with respect to a finite set of points. In this paper, a novel approach is presented to the restoration of images corrupted by impulsive noise (IN), with a new nonlinear IN suppression filter, entitled circular polygons based adaptive-fuzzy filter (CF). The proposed filter is based on statistical impulse detection and nonlinear filtering which uses adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference system (Anfis) as a missed data interpolant over the circular polygons and provides estimates for the original intensity values of corrupted pixels. Impulse detection is realized by using the chi-square based goodness-of-fit test, which yields a decision about the impulsivity of each pixel. Extensive simulations were realized to demonstrate the capability of CF and they reveal that the proposed filter achieves a better performance than the other filters mentioned in this paper in the cases of being effective in noise suppression and detail preservation, also when the images are highly corrupted by IN. 相似文献

In this investigation, a numerical technique to obtain the approximate solutions of four well‐known nonlinear differential equations in the area of heat transfer is presented. This method is based on the operational matrix of derivative of linear barycentric rational interpolation. The main advantages of this approach are that it uses the Floater‐Hormann weights, which are very efficient in practice, and reduces the governing differential equation to a system of algebraic equations. The results are compared with the obtained numerical results of the fourth‐order Runge‐Kutta method along with the shooting method and some of the previously existing methods. The acquired results reveal that the derivative operational matrix method with barycentric rational basis functions is very efficient and can be implemented easily and fast. 相似文献

This work is concerned with developing the hierarchical basis for meshless methods. A reproducing kernel hierarchical partition of unity is proposed in the framework of continuous representation as well as its discretized counterpart. To form such hierarchical partition, a class of basic wavelet functions are introduced. Based upon the built‐in consistency conditions, the differential consistency conditions for the hierarchical kernel functions are derived. It serves as an indispensable instrument in establishing the interpolation error estimate, which is theoretically proven and numerically validated. For a special interpolant with different combinations of the hierarchical kernels, a synchronized convergence effect may be observed. Being different from the conventional Legendre function based p‐type hierarchical basis, the new hierarchical basis is an intrinsic pseudo‐spectral basis, which can remain as a partition of unity in a local region, because the discrete wavelet kernels form a ‘partition of nullity’. These newly developed kernels can be used as the multi‐scale basis to solve partial differential equations in numerical computation as a p‐type refinement. This paper presents an approach to learning to control a dynamic physical system. The approach has been implemented in a program named CART, and applied to a simple physical system studied previously by several researchers.
