Using information-systems constructs to study online- and telephone-banking technologies

The research literature has seen a number of studies aimed at understanding customer attitudes towards banking technologies, and thereby providing implications for developmental planning and marketing. However, even though banking technologies have a significant amount of information systems (IS) component to them, there is a paucity of research that considers them from the IS perspective. In this paper, we fill this gap by considering three constructs, namely usefulness, ease of use and usage, that are all rooted in the IS literature. We study user’s perceptions of these constructs, as well as the relationships among them, for both online and telephone banking.

Link Prediction based on Structural Properties of Online Social Networks

Question-Answering Bulletin Boards (QABB), such as Yahoo! Answers and Windows Live QnA, are gaining popularity recently. Questions are submitted on QABB and let somebody in the internet answer them. Communications on QABB connect users, and the overall connections can be regarded as a social network. If the evolution of social networks can be predicted, it is quite useful for encouraging communications among users. Link prediction on QABB can be used for recommendation to potential answerers. Previous approaches for link prediction based on structural properties do not take weights of links into account. This paper describes an improved method for predicting links based on weighted proximity measures of social networks. The method is based on an assumption that proximities between nodes can be estimated better by using both graph proximity measures and the weights of existing links in a social network. In order to show the effectiveness of our method, the data of Yahoo! Chiebukuro (Japanese Yahoo! Answers) are used for our experiments. The results show that our method outperforms previous approaches, especially when target social networks are sufficiently dense.

基于动态属性的域间使用控制模型研究

在分析多域交互主要特性的基础上,提出了一种多安全域下的动态使用控制模型(DAB-UCON).该模型以下一代访问控制UCON_(ABC)核心模型为基础,将属性、授权(A)、义务(B)、条件(C)等各个组件作为一个动态实体进行扩展.提出一种属性分类方法,即按照属性定义时间和应用范围分别进行模型描述.最后对模型进行讨论,引入属性谓词等来满足动态多域交互条件下的系统需求.扩展后的模型有助于访问控制中动态的策略构建和授权.     

eCRM 2.0 applications and trends: The use and perceptions of Greek tourism firms of social networks and intelligence

Although previous CRM studies treat eCRM as a synonymous with 1:1 communications and personalised service at an individual basis, web 2.0 further enables firms and users to generate customer value and build customer relations through social networking, co-learning, co-production and collaboration. The paper advocates the development of eCRM 2.0 strategies aiming at exploiting both the networking and social/customer intelligence of web 2.0 by integrating and engaging customers and communities along firms’ value chain operations. The usage and readiness of Greek tourism firms to embark on eCRM 2.0 strategies was examined by conducting an e-mail survey and focused groups with tourism professionals. Despite the low adoption rates of eCRM 2.0, respondents were aware and greatly concerned about the practical implications of this field, which in turn elucidated an agenda for future research studies.

为了对恶意下载行为实施有效控制,研究通用访问控制框架和使用控制模型(UCON),提出基于流量的UCON。设计并实现基于UCON的防恶意下载系统,阐述其关键技术和实现方法。实验结果表明,该模型能有效控制用户下载行为,具有高安全性和较强的操作灵活性。     

A new framework for understanding educational digital library use: re-examining digital divides in U.S. schools

Despite their decade of deployment, educational digital libraries have not achieved sustained use in elementary and secondary schools in the United States. Barriers to accessing the Internet and computers have been widely targeted by myriad initiatives, but efforts aimed at bridging this first-level “digital divide” have not led to increased use of the Internet and digital library resources in U.S. classrooms. In fact, such programs have revealed additional divides that affect educators’ use. This paper examines the additional digital divide levels and proposes a new framework for understanding technology innovation in schools that can improve development and outreach approaches by digital library developers.
