Photoregulation of Gene Expression with Ligand-Modified Caged siRNAs through Host/Guest Interaction

Small interfering RNA (siRNA) can effectively silence target genes through Argonate 2 (Ago2)-induced RNA interference (RNAi). It is very important to control siRNA activity in both spatial and temporal modes. Among different masking strategies, photocaging can be used to regulate gene expression through light irradiation with spatiotemporal and dose-dependent resolution. Many different caging strategies and caging groups have been reported for light-activated siRNA gene silencing. Herein, we describe a novel caging strategy that increases the blocking effect of RISC complex formation/process through host/guest (including ligand/receptor) interactions, thereby enhancing the inhibition of caged siRNA activity until light activation. This strategy can be used as a general approach to design caged siRNAs for the photomodulation of gene silencing of exogenous and endogenous genes.

Host/guest complex of Me-β-CD/2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenyl acetophenone for initiation of aqueous photopolymerization: Kinetics and mechanism

Methylated-β-cyclodextrin (Me-β-CD) was used to complex the photoinitiator, 2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenyl acetophenone (DMPA), yielding a water-soluble host/guest complex. The comparative studies demonstrated that the Me-β-CD complexed DMPA exhibited a high photoreactivity identical to the uncomplexed DMPA, while the CD complex obviously influenced the products of primary photolysis of DMPA and the photopolymerization kinetics due to the steric effect of CD on the subsequent initiation reactions. The photopolymerization rate of acrylamide can be described by the equation: R_p=K[2a]^0.62[M]^1.37[I]^0.5[Me-β-CD]⁰. The mechanism of polymerization was also discussed.     

Femtochemistry of Guest Molecules Hosted in Colloidal Zeolites

The ultrafast deprotonation of 2‐(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole (HBT) hosted in nanometer‐sized FAU and MFI zeolites is reported. Samples are prepared via in‐situ incorporation of HBT in the precursor colloidal solutions resulting in the formation of nanometer‐sized zeolites under hydrothermal treatment. The diameter of the zeolite particles formed in the crystalline suspensions is determined by dynamic light scattering and high‐resolution transmission microscopy to lie in the range 40–100 nm. It is shown that the HBT loading does not influence the degree of the zeolite crystallinity but does change the size and the morphology of the individual zeolite nanoparticles. Colloidal suspensions containing the crystalline nanoparticles are well suited for optical investigations since they are sufficiently transparent and clear. The photochemical properties of the HBT guest in the zeolite‐host systems are studied with femtosecond transient transmission spectroscopy. Depending on the acid–base properties either the enol or the keto tautomer of HBT is found to be hosted in the internal voids of the zeolites; upon UV excitation, the HBT‐keto tautomer is converted to the enol form in both MFI‐ and FAU‐type hosts. The HBT photoconversion takes place via an ultrafast deprotonation within 1.5 ps as detected by femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy.     

航天器用实时操作系统设计

针对航天器在应用实时操作系统时的特殊需要,设计了航天器用实时操作系统的总体设计方案及内核;总体设计中,将操作系统分为板卡级驱动层、系统内核层、接口层三个层次,并确定了满足航天器任务的最简需求与各层的关系;在内核设计中,设计了双向链表管理器、多任务调度管理器、时钟管理器、消息队列管理器、中断管理器,并在其中体现了最简设计的思想;最后,对航天器用实时操作系统的可靠性设计思路进行了描述;此操作系统目前已应用多个航天器中。     

IETM技术在便携式工卡系统中的应用研究

从飞机制造的角度出发,以IETM技术为基础,以带Windows 7操作系统的便携式终端为硬件平台,研究开发应用于某机机载机电设备装配指导的交互式电子工卡系统。文中主要介绍了系统设计的背景知识、开发架构和软硬件实现方法,结合XML和SQL数据库技术创作符合GJB6600标准的应用系统。该系统的成功研制和投入使用可将电子信息技术的最新研究成果用于生产实践,既可有效地减轻生产一线工作人员的劳动强度,又能极大地提高飞机数字化制造效率。     

开放式计算机数控系统的构建

文章首先指出了研究多轴数控加工技术的重要现实意义和深远意义.对CNC的开放性、开放标准、系统建模、实时性进行了分析研究,在此基础上创新性地提出了一种基于WinCE和DSP的开放式CNC的构建方案.     

Humidity sensitivity of polypyrrole and polypyrrole/SBA‐15 host–guest composite materials

Polypyrrole (PPY) and PPY/SBA‐15 host–guest composite materials have been prepared using chemical synthesis route and characterized by XRD, IR, N₂ adsorption–desorption isotherms, and SEM. The humidity sensitive properties (HSP) of this kind of materials have been studied by analyzing the variation curve of impedance as a function of relative humidity. It was found that the PPY/SBA‐15 host–guest composites materials exhibit better HSP than that of the corresponding pure PPY. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 102: 3301–3305, 2006     

基于Msp430无线安防传感网的设计研究

文中给出了一种面向无线传感网络协议的改进方法,设计并实现了一种面向于中小型场所的远程智能安防系统。该改进方法采用只在中心节点形成与维护路由表的策略,形成多路径单跳网络。通信节点采用具有超低功耗特性的Msp430单片机和CC1101射频模块构架,中心节点采用PC机外接CC1101RS-232串口模块方案,将汇聚节点和基站服务器合二为一,实现通信协议的转换,同时为远端移动终端节点提供通信接口。通信过程增加接收确认信号环节以确保信号的有效发送。实验结果表明,文中的设计方法能够高效地完成在有效通信范围内的信息传感。
