Abstract: | This paper proposes the modeling of a transmission network protection system using Petri nets (PNs). The protective system PN models include three parts: the colored bus-subnet model, the line protective relaying scheme model, and the communication link model. An example is given describing how the models work and the relationship among the models. Further application of the models is discussed and future work is presented. |
