Abstract: | Electrical properties of poly(p-diethynylbenzene) (PDEB), chemically doped with perchloric acid (HClO4), were investigated as a function of dopant concentration and relative humidity. The doped polymer was characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV—Vis, IR, electron spin resonance (ESR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). A possible structure of the HClO4-doped PDEB was proposed on the basis of spectroscopic studies. In the presence of humidity, HClO4-doped PDEB follows the proton conduction mechanism. |
