| Abstract: | The n.m.r. proton signal in coal can be enhanced by irradiating near the larmor frequency of the free electrons present in the coal. Using proton-carbon cross-polarization, this enhancement is transferred to the 13C signal. This decreases the measuring time of a 13C spectrum with several orders of magnitude. |
