Abstract: | The main objective of water level regulation project for Shuikou downstream hydro-junction was to solve the problem of inadequacy of threshold depth of navigation structure and meet the requirements on the draft head of hydro-generator. By construction of downstream junction, the water level would reach 7.64 m while discharge is 308 m 3 /s. During operation of Shuikou hydropower plant, its available water head is limited. The comprehensive analysis showed that the navigation scheme was preferred to navigation and hydropower scheme. |
