Abstract: | The equilibrium compositions and densities in the gaseous and liquid phases of the binary system carbon dioxide/methyl laurate (dodecanoic acid methyl ester) have been measured at 40 °C, 50 °C and 60 °C, and at pressures up to 120 bar. Equilibrium was attained by recirculating both phases through a high-pressure view cell. A vibrating sensor tube was used to determine densities. Compositions were measured by taking samples from both phases by means of six-way valves. |
