| Abstract: | A process using microwave heating for the preparation of octyl glucoside is intro- duced.It involes the direct reaction of octanol with glucose and the indirect reaction of octanol with corn starch.The properties of octyl glucoside were determined.The feasibility of its development and applications was discussed. |
