Harm and prevention of boiler effect for gate valves in nuclear power plants

The article describes the harm of ＇boiler effect＇ and the principle of it.It presents a method to judge the valves need to be modified considering the function and configuration of them,the operation and accident of nuclear power plants,the probabilistic safety assessment,the benefit and cost ratio analysis,and etc.Several modifications are given for different valves.At last taken Dayabay and Ling Ao nuclear power plants as examples,it describes how to deal with ＇boiler effect＇.
