Outstanding translations derive from the appreciation of originals.People can have a better understanding about the producing process of outstanding translations by appreciating and analyzing classical works and translations.Of Studies is a masterpiece of Francis Bacon, an English philosopher, statesman and essayist.Its style is elegant and dignified, its language is concise and beautiful and its rhetoric is vivid.This paper is a case study of Wang Zuoliang’s version of Of Studies and discusses the general producing process of an outstanding translation from the aspects of the style, meaning and rhetoric .
