Infrared Absorption Spectroscopy in Zirconia Research

Abstract:	Infrared absorption spectra are shown for monoclinic ZrO₂ and for cubic stabilized ZrO₂. Nine bands are reported in monoclinic ZrO₂ in the region 800 to 200 cm^−l, whereas only one broad band is observed in cubic ZrO₂ over the same frequency range.
