| Abstract: | The authors describe the operation principle and the technology of a distributorconcentrator which can be used for implementing a broad-band local network designed for simultaneous one-way and two-way transmission of signals at high and low rates, in analogical and digital modulation. By multiplexing three wavelengths on a multimode optical fibre, several videocommunication services can be offered to the subscribers. |
