Comparative study on multiple coal seams in Lingtai mining area of Gansu Province

The predicted coal resources in Longdong area account for 96%of the predicted resources in Gansu Province,so it is very important to speed up the high-quality development and utilization of Longdong coal resources.Lingtai mining area is an important part of Longdong coal production base.There are 14 numbered coal seams in the mining area,and the coal measure strata are middle Jurassic Yan’an formation.The multi coal seam correlation in Lingtai mining area is carried out by six methods,including lithofacies cycle correlation,marker bed correlation,coal quality characteristic correlation,nearby borehole correlation,self characteristic correlation and logging curve correlation.The results show that the correlation is reliable and the basis is sufficient.The research work has certain reference significance for the high-quality development and utilization of coal resources in Lingtai mining area and even Longdong area.
