| Abstract: | The paper outlined the definition of biodegradable industrial gear oils and summarized the domestic and overseas status of lubricants with high biodegradability. A full analysis and comparison were made on the base oil, additives and evaluation methods for this kind of lubricants. The necessity of study on degradable gear lubricants was pointed out. Moreover, some suggestions and prospects for the research work of biodegradable gear lubricants were put forward. |
