隐喻价值与英语教育

摘    要:通过对国内外相关文献的综述和分析研究,发现隐喻具有多元价值,它们在英语教育中发挥积极作用。隐喻的反思价值有利于改进教育教学的方式方法,形成教师个性化的教育教学风格;隐喻的教学价值在于隐喻语言的阐释力和隐喻的认知功能,有助于英语文本理解和语言加工;隐喻的跨文化价值揭示了英汉语言与文化所蕴含的共性和差异,有助于跨文化理解和交流;隐喻的人文价值在于其规避了生硬冰冷的说教,彰显英语教育中独特而丰富的人文意蕴。

Abstract:The study of the topic-related literature at home and abroad shows that metaphor possesses multiple functions,which play a positive role in English education. The reflective value of metaphor helps teachers to improve their teaching approaches and to form their individual teaching style. The teaching value of metaphor presents its interpretative and cognitive features of metaphorical language,which lead to a better comprehension of texts and expressions. The cross-cultural value of metaphor reveals the similarities and differences between English and Chinese culture,which allows promoting cross-cultural understanding and communication. The humane value of metaphor avoids mechanical and dogmatic preach and emphasizes its rich and unique humane implications in relation to English education.
