| Abstract: | The stress distribution in a scarf joint subjected to pure bending, and with arbitrary angle of scarf, is analyzed as a two dimensional elasticity problem in plane stress. Both the adherend and the adhesive are assumed to be elastic and isotropic. The two adherends may have differing moduli of elasticity. Numerical results are given. |
