| Abstract: | Based on the discussed concept of external cost and compared safety/environment characteristics for nuclear and other electric generation systems, the paper has described the international research progress and main results on external costs of electric generation systems, and analyzed the estimation of external costs for SO2 and CO2 emissions from coal-fired plants in China, and relevant countermeasures have proposed. |
