The paper expounds the constitution and equipment characteristics of the automatic control system of currently running coke dry quenching hoister at Tiantie, and analyzes and discusses the causes of frequent failures in practice such as sudden stoppage and non-interlocking with coke dry quenching system. Improvement measures were proposed according to the actual situation in production. After implementation, failure occurrence rate at hoister was lowered and its normal running and coke smooth production were ensured.
