Service Reservoir Remedial Works

Two conventional reinforced-concrete service reservoirs failed during initial filling, the wall sections sliding sufficiently to cause rupture of some water-stops in the expansion joints. The paper describes the remedial works undertaken to stabilize the structures and gives details of the method used to make the expansion joints watertight.
