Abstract:Taking the secondary sedimentation tank effluent of a sewage treatment plant as the research object,the effects of diatomite and PAC dosage on TP and NH3-N removal under different pH conditions were studied.The results of the test showed that,the optimal condition for the above two coagulants treating the said kind of wastewater was: the dosage of diatomite and PAC were 30 and 40 mg/L respectively;the pH values were 7 and 8 respectively.Under the optimal condition,the removal rates of TP by the said two coagulants reached 76.5% and 80.7% respectively;the removal rates of NH3-N reached 40.8% and 26.2% respectively.The mass concentrations of TP and NH3-N in the effluent water both met the first grade A standard of GB 18918—2002 Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant.
