Polymer compounds based on the three-component blend PP-EPDM-oil: effect of their structure on physical properties |
| |
Abstract: | The variation of structure and properties of a triple blend of polypropylene (PP), ethylene-propylene-diene monomer rubber (EPDM), and oil with mixing conditions was studied. The structure and physical properties of this blend are mainly determined by the intermolecular interaction of EPDM and PP components. The interaction depends on the EPDM/PP ratio at the molecular level and on the mixing regime. The optimal mixing conditions that determined the better physical properties of these blends were defined. |
