SYNTHESIS,CHARACTERIZATION, AND PERFORMANCE OF ALKENYL AND MIXTURES OF ALKENYL BIS-SUCCINIMIDES ON PETROLEUM PRODUCTS

Alkenylsuccinic anhydrides were prepared by reaction n-olefin tetradecene and hexadecene or mixture tetradecene and hexadecene. Alkenylsuccinic anhydrides is reacted with tetraethylenepentamine to obtain four alkenyl and mixture of alkenyl bis-succinimides the products were purified, characterized by F.T.I.R and elemental analysis. They evaluated for improving flowability of paraffinic gas oil and applied as corrosion inhibitors for c-steel in aromatic extraction process. Results proved that the synthesized compounds achieved a substantial effect as corrosion inhibitors.
