Abstract: | The analysis of the steady-state performance characteristics of a triac-controlled single-phase induction motor having space harmonics in its magnetic field is presented. The analysis is based on the independent consideration of the fundamental and harmonic content of the motor applied chopped sinusoidal voltage. Each harmonic component is applied individually to the equivalent circuit of the motor having space harmonics in its field. The computed characteristics are checked experimentally. |
