The paper points out that structural adjustment of China's oil refineries has achieved initial success, hydrogenation process has developed quickly; predicting that the early 21 century will be an era in which hydrogena-tion process will ride on the crest of success, and China's oil resources should be fully utilized so as to accelerate domestic hydrogenation process development. In addition, the paper introduces varieties of hydrogenation technology whose development and promotion have been given priority.
