Application of Downhole Video Logging Tool in Casing Inspections

Indroduced are applications of downhole video logging tool in casing inspections. The tool includes surface and downhole systems. With the post-light lighting, visibility in borehole is obviously improved. The patented chemical activators may protect the tool's camera lens and lamp house from crude oil contamination. The tool allows us to inspect casing breaking and deformation, locate actual fish position and sand surface, discover the leakage points, chech perforation, liquid and gas producing capacity as well as casing status in the perforated intervals, etc.. On the basis of analyzing factors effecting image visibility, the casing inspection technique and its available ranges are worked out. A combination of the tool with eight-arm caliper and magnetic logging device provides more reliable logging data.
