Abstract:Aiming at the problem of the imbalance of the instantaneous load of the workstation caused by the difference in operation time of different products on the mixed-model assembly line,an improved multi-objective balancing method for straight line and U-shaped mixed-model assembly line was proposed,meanwhile,the line balance rate and smoothing index were used to assess the balancing effect.Comprehensively considering the constraints of process allocation,workstation and priority relationship,etc,while taking into account of the two objective functions of minimum number of workstations and load balancing of different products in the workstations,a multi-objective balancing optimization model of mixed-model assembly line was established.Using genetic algorithm as the optimization algorithm.In order to make the mutation process carry out in the prescribed direction to increase the proportion of feasible solutions,amandatory rule was added in the mutation link.Finally,the comparing analysis results of the example shows that the proposed method can quickly and effectively solve the two types of mixed-model assembly line balancing problems,which can provide a reference for the enterprise to formulate a balancing plan in the mixed-model planning stage.
