Abstract:IRIG-B code time service is a more general time synchronization method.Under certain conditions,IRIG-B code time service has higher reliability and stability than GPS time service.This paper proposes an IRIG-B code time synchronization method based on a microcontroller and FPGA hardware platform.First,a microcontroller is used to extract a series of messages in a fixed format,and then the FPGA is used to convert the information and output a specific waveform.The FPGA output waveform obtained by the solution in this paper is completely consistent with the theoretical results and the synchronization speed is relatively fast,which proves the correctness and feasibility of the IRIG-B timing solution.
