Magnetisme et conductivite des siliciures Y2Mn3Si5 et Lu2Mn3Si5

Abstract:Y2Mn3Si5 and Lu2Mn3Si5 order ferrimagnetically at TN = 96 and 56 K respectively; their resistivity strongly decreases at the transition from paramagnetic to ferrimagnetic phase. A model is proposed for the magnetic coupling.Two new silicides with the Sc2Fe3Si5-type structure are characterized by X-ray powder diffraction : Gd2Mn3Si5 and Yb2Mn3Si5.
