| Abstract: | Kameleon is a supersized residential block including a new shop- ping center and plenty of parking in the Bijlmermeer in Amsterdam. The Bijlmer is based on the ideas of CIAM： Light ＋ Air ＋ Space and a fundamental division between functions. Traffic modalities were separated： the access for cars was placed on a higher level to allow unobstructed cruising for bikes and pedestrians. In a way it is a beau- tiful park with 10 storey housing blocks in a honeycomb structure： a vertical garden city. |
