| Abstract: | A new Danieli state-of -the-art 12 m radius, 2 strand caster for large round blooms at Maanshan Iron and Steel is introduced. The process know-how possessed by Danieli and the reliability of the equipment allowed and efficient startup and gave to the Maanshan Company and effective tool to serve its custimers. Production and quality index of round blooms are close to unit values, and this means that all Danieli technology guarantees a simple management of bloom casting that allows full control of the machine in each phase of the process. |
