Application of home-made rotary vacuum disk filter in phosphoric acid plant

The characteristics,working instruction, some improvements and problems needing attention of the homemade rotary vacuum disk filter are described. The filter with an available filtering area of 46 m+2 was installed at the phosphoric acid plant of 30 kt/a P-2O-5 in Juhua Co., Ltd., which obtained the phosphoric acid of 22% P-2O-5, the phosphogypsum of P-2O-5containing 1%(wet basis)and kept the system's water balance with the maximum load of 145.2 t/d P-2O-5 by using the raw materials Wengfu phosphate rock, Guizhou province and Wangjiaying phosphate rock, Yunnan province.The conclusion is drawn out that the filter has a stable running for dry discharge of phosphogypsum.
