A Research on the Reactive Power Compensation Mode for Rutal Networks

In this paper the basic condition of the reactive power compensation modes in the rural networks in China was briefly presented.The characteristics of the five modes of reactive compensation,the distridution and the variation trend of the loads in rural power networks were analyzed. The emphasis of the compensation in the rural powernetworks was pointed out,and the rational installation location of the compensating capacitors in lower voltage net-work was preferred.The rational develompent of compensation mode immediately connected to the motor or to thetransformer was also suggested.
