| Abstract: | A technique is described for examining moisture adsorption in narrow band filters; it involves the photographing of the filter in monochromatic light and the analysis of the patterns obtained. The mechanism of moisture penetration and its influence on filter drift is discussed. Changes in the structure of the layers due to heat treatment can be detected by change in the moisture penetration patterns. |
