Abstract:Speaking of the purpose and condition of the classification and earthing for the field instrument, comparing to the standard such as GB/T 3836.15-2017/IEC60079-14, GB/T 16895.21-2020/IEC60364-4-41: 2017, the determination of field instruments earthing is introduced. Different purposes, basic conceptions and electrical properties for field instruments earthing in explosive or non-explosive environment are analyzed. According to several GB/IEC relative standards, different modes of instruments earthing in different field environments are discussed. It is not necessary to ground for field instruments of intrinsic safety, and safety extra-low voltage also has no need to ground for field instrument. Suitable earthing mode for field instrument are proposed. The differences between active national standards and petrochemical standards are also proposed.
