H.264/AVC算术编码的优化实现

摘    要:在H.264视频压缩标准中采用了高效的算术编码CABAC方案,CABAC提高了编码效率,但同时增加了编码复杂度。分析CABAC的复杂度,指出CABAC优化方向,提出其低复杂度实现算法。主要从上下文模型、重要图和宏块类型的CABAC编码3个方面对CABAC软件算法进行了优化,并在JM参考软件中进行了验证,实验结果表明CABAC的编码复杂度降低了40%。

Abstract:H. 264 video compression standard adopts CABAC as an alternative scheme of entropy coding. While CABAC enhances the coding efficiency, simultaneously it increases encoding complexity. In this paper, the complexity of CABAC is analyzed and the direction of optimization is pointed out. A low complexity algorithm of CABAC is proposed. This optimization is mainly carried out from three aspects of the context model, the CABAC coding of significant map and the Marcoblock type and then confirmed in JM Reference Software. The experimental result indicates that the rate of saving time consumed by CABAC entropy coding module achieves approximately 40% at most.
