一种接入路由器时延的在线测量方法

接入路由器时延的在线测量对网络监管非常重要,目前的测量方法实施成本较高。本文将主动测量与被动测量相结合,提出了一种简单实时的接入路由器时延在线测量方法。该方法易实施、完全实时、成本低、适于普遍采用。通过对湖南大学校园网接入路由器的测量实验表明,该方法是有效的。

An On-Line Method for Measuring the Delay of Access Routers

The online measurement of the access router is very important to network monitoring and management,but it is relatively expensive to implement the present measurement method.In this paper,a simple and real-time measuring method for the access router performance is presented and implemented.The method adopts active measurement combining with passive measurement.It is totally real-time with low cost,and is capable of being implemented easily and suitable for general adoption.The validity of the new method has been evaluated by the measurement experimental results on the access routers in the campus network of Hunan University.
