摘    要:无线局域网(WLAN)技术发展迅速,但是切换速度始终是影响WLAN进一步发展的重要问题。为了提高用户在接入点的切换速度,支持不同QoS业务的切换要求,保证业务的连续性,在分析IEEE802.11WLAN切换的基础上,提出了一种可管理快速切换(MFHO)技术及其在接入点(AP)的实现方法。该技术采用“断开前部分建立”的切换策略,在改进AP间漫游协议基础上实现无线AP对站点切换过程的控制管理。用实验对MFHO技术和基于接入点间漫游协议(IAPP)的切换技术进行了功能和性能对比测试,结果验证MFHO技术切换成功率高,切换性能强于基于IAPP的切换技术。

Abstract:The handover speed is always vital for the further development of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) which is enjoying fast growth. The Manageable Fast Handover(MFHO) mechanism was thus brought about based on a study of the IEEE standard 802.11 for WAN handover,in order to speed up the Access Point (AP) handover,meet different Quality of Service (QoS) requirements and ensure service continuity. Adopting the "make-before-break" switching operation,this technology enables the wireless APs to control and manage the handover traffic between two cells based on enhanced Inter Access Point Protocol (IAPP). Tests have been carried out to compare functions and performance of both the MFHO technology and handover using IAPP,with the former proved to have higher successful handover rates and better performance.
