Abstract: | This article considers how journalists have turned stories about the Gulf War into a forum for discussing satellite-fed technology, real-time reportage, and other issues of concern to the professional community. In focusing on the Cable News Network (CNN) and Peter Arnett, reporters have turned the Gulf War into a critical incident that helps them consider consensual notions of professional practice. |
