Abstract: | Measurements of heat transfer were performed for a circular cylinder in cross-flow with hydrogen bubbles uniformly generated by electrolysis. The heat transfer coefficient as a function of velocity and temperature differences between the wall and the fluid is presented.Measurements in the low-velocity range show a heat transfer increase due to the stirring action of the bubbles. The use of this technique to investigate bubble dynamics and boiling heat transfer is discussed. |
