供应链管理(SCM)是近年来在国内外日益受到重视的一种新的管理理念与模式，其产生背景的研究对当前中国企业的改革和提高企业竞争能力有着十分重要的理论和实践意义。本文首先介绍了供应链管理的概念、目标，接着从管理模式、市场环境和信息技术等多个方面分析了供应链管理产生的背景，可为国内相关企业更全面、更准确地认识了解和推广应用供应链管理这一新型管理模式起到积极的推动作用。

Supply Chain Management and Its Background Analysis

As a new notion and model of enterprise management and operation, Supply Chain Management (SCM) is nowadays being increasingly emphasized in the global manufacturing industry. The exploration for its generating backgrounds has important significance in theory and practice for reforming national enterprises and improving competitive capability of enterprises. This paper firstly introduces the conception and aims of SCM, and then analyzes its generating backgrounds from the four aspects of management model, market environment, insufficiency of MRP-II, and Information technology.
