Abstract:In this paper, a new method for electric power system transient stability simulation has been de-rived . The method consists of two phases,In the first phase,the state variables and its successive deriva-tived are predicted-this is the prediction phase;in the second one , the predicted values are corrected by theuse of the implicit trapezoidal rule and the so-called relaxation method. The proposed procedure is extreme-ly fast ,and the numerous simulation studies have proven that the proposed method can meet the require-ments of power system transient stability on-line simulation.
