摘    要:The paper studies on the sediment-laden flow by using MicroADV.Laboratory calibration has been conducted to determine the relationship between backscattered signal strength and sediment concentration. Based on the experimental data,the interactions between sediment and fluid in open channel flow are investi- gated.The experiment shows that there exist inner relation between sediment concentration and turbulence, and the relationship is distinctry related to the diameter of particle as well as the flow concentration itself.With the same hydraulic condition,the relationship becomes evidently closer with the increasing sediment concentra- tion.The experiment also shows that with the increasing concentration,the presence of particles has a notice- ably impact both on the mean velocity and on the turbulence intensity,i.e.the flow turbulent intensity will be strongly attenuated and the vertical distribution of mean velocity will be changed greatly at all.
