| Abstract: | An explicit formula for calculating the first and second surges in the throttled surge tank following load rejection is derived by use of the power asymptotic expansion of infinitesimal parameters. This formula, with simple form and good accuracy, applies to a wider range and is easier to use as compared with the existing theoretical formula. |
