Abstract: | A mechanism of formation of pressure fluctuations in a closed cylindrical cavity filled with compressed gas is studied. Pressure fluctuations occur with sudden rupture of the cavity over the entire section. Boundary conditions imposed on an open boundary in the case of quick interchange of discharge and inflow through it are suggested. A comparative analysis of the nonstationary process of intense gas discharge from cylindrical and conical cavities closed from one side is made.
