| Abstract: | The high flexural strength macro defect free cement based composites made up of polyvinyl alcohol and high alumina cement were prepared by shear mixing, hot pressing and dry hot curing. The relationship among mechanical properties, components and structures of the cement based composites modified with polymer were studied. Moreover, mechanism of polymer increasing strength and toughness of the comoposites were discussed. |
