Multipoint multimedia conferencing

The development of multipoint multimedia services for conferencing is described. The use of integrated services digital network (ISDN) as part of the work carried out in the European collaborative projects Multipoint Interactive Audiovisual Communication (MIAC) and Multipoint Interactive Audiovisual System (MIAS) is emphasized. The history of multipoint teleconferencing, the different types of multipoint conferencing systems, and protocol requirements for multipoint multimedia conferencing systems are also discussed
