算法级能耗分析方法研究

摘    要:功耗现已成为嵌入式系统设计中一个重要的约束条件,而设计早期在高层所作的功耗评估与优化对整个系统能耗的影响最为显著。论文通过对指令级功耗模型进行研究得到一个算法级的功耗模型,并提出了基于此模型的静态算法能耗效率分析方法,它可以帮助设计者选择能耗较低的算法,对软/硬件系统设计中的功耗优化也有一定的作用。文中最后在功耗评估平台对算法实例进行模拟测试,试验结果验证了此分析方法的有效性。

Abstract:Energy consumption has became a critical design constrain in many embedded system.High-level power analysis and optimization play important roles in the whole design cycle.This paper presents a novel algorithm-level power model that is abstracted from instruction-level models.A methodology of algorithm static analysis for energy is contributed based the model.It leads designers to select power-efficient algorithm in the candidates and has further effects on the later HW/SW design cycle.At the end of paper,some algorithm examples are estimated on power simulator and comparing results illustrate the effectiveness of the novel methodology of Algorithm analysis.
