Technological design of rock bit diameter

Diameter controlling is of great importance in rock bit manufacturing.This article gives the formula for calculating the error transmissibility of relevant parameters and the method for checking the actual bit diameter, analyzes the influences of the dislocation between bit legs and the contraction after welding on the bit diameter, and recommends the measure for increasing the percent of pass on its first assembling run through modifying the parameters, the method of measuring the bit diameter while assembling, and a means to remedy the over- or under-size products.
