A Few Key-Problems Concerning Type-Choice of 1000 MW Ultra-Supercritical Boilers

The physical properties of steam under critical steta , its heat transfer charecterstics and its conditional changes within the boiler are described. A few key-problems , concerned in the type-choice of 1 000MW ultra-supercritical boilers are dealt with, including the advantages and disadvantages of spirally wound and vertically coiled water wall tubes, measures for reducing thermal deviations in the superheater and reheater system as well as their adjustability, and adaptability of the combustion equipment to coal category variations, stressing at the same time the importance of on-line monitoring the wall temperatures and tbat of soot-blower arrangement.
